Reading is not what it used to be. Nowadays, as technology develops more and more, books are being replaced by e-books. That's because these are easier to read and it's much easier to find a certain piece of information than using actual books. Furthermore, one doesn't need to have a large bookshelf, as all the e-books can be stored on the hard disk, each one of them taking up just a couple of MB of data. This way, hundreds of books can be easily stored on a hard disk. The problem is organizing all of them. Alfa eBooks Manager can help the user in this matter, as it is a solid program for organizing any type of e-book, making it easy for a user to know how large his book collection is.

The software requires .NET Framework 4 to work and if it doesn't detect it during the installation process, it adds it automatically into the system, without the user's intervention. The entire installation process can be easily completed with only a few clicks. The software can run in almost any version of the Microsoft Windows operating system and takes up little hard disk space and low system resources.

The interface of Alfa eBooks Manager is graphical and allows one to easily find any desired option. The user just needs to create a new database in order to get started. The program includes a sample database with some e-books, for letting the user get familiar with the software's features.

Books can be easily added into the program's database. One just needs to fill in some information, like the publisher's name, genre, ISBN and so on. This information can also be added automatically using the Amazon website, just by entering the book's name. This way, the user will save a lot of time and effort, especially if he has to add a lot of books into the database. After having added the required information, one can look for books using various criteria.

Alfa eBooks Manager can display a statistics window which displays the number of books according to each genre. This way, the user can know what books he needs to buy in order to have an equal distribution of books for each genre. Should the program need reinstalling, there is an option for saving the database as a file.

Pros

It features a simple interface that facilitates adding e-books into the database. Besides that, e-books can be added directly from the Amazon library, without filling in any information regarding them except for their title. Furthermore, statistics can be displayed, regarding the number of books included in each genre. Last but not least, each e-book has a cover displayed, allowing the user to quickly find a desired title.

Cons

The trial version doesn't allow adding books from the Amazon library. Alfa eBooks Manager is a solid e-book manager software that lets you keep track of your book collection in the easiest way possible.
